	The Claud Powell Chamber Orchestra is a ""rehearsal"" orchestra. We don't give public concerts but players find much pleasure in rehearsing, and performing to ourselves, a different set of pieces each term. It's a most rewarding experience. Repertoire ranges from Purcell and Bach to Vaughan Williams and Britten, with due focus on the symphonies of Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert. The orchestra derives from the pioneering work of the late Claud Powell, and was conducted by David Stone until 2006 when Sebastian Forbes took over. New players are most welcome, especially strings. There are vacancies for brass and also 2nd bassoon.

	We are a friendly community orchestra and welcome players of any standard. There is no audition, but you will be able to participate more fully if you play to a minimum of Grade 3 standard. Established in 2008, we now have over 50 members. We give occasional informal concerts.

	The Old Barn Orchestra (the orchestra for Medway and Maidstone) was founded in 1927 and incorporated with a full constitution the following year. Its name derives from its first meeting place, which was the music room - a converted barn - of Dr Ponder and his family at Abbey Court in Sandling (north of Maidstone).

	The Pelly Concert Orchestra gives four concerts a year in the Hampshire/Surrey area, plus a Play Day in summer to which all players of suitable standard are invited. The orchestra's wide-ranging repertoire includes well-known classical works as well as selections from stage and screen. Concerts are popular and well-attended. New members are always welcomed by this remarkably friendly orchestra.

	We are a uniformed concert band which undertakes a number of concerts throughout the year across the southern counties. Currently expanding the size of the band, we are looking for woodwind, brass and percussion musicians (no link to the police required!) over the age of 16 who are of a reasonable standard (Grade 5 or equivalent). If you haven't played for a while and are a little rusty then that's not a problem, come along and give us a try. We're certain you'll enjoy the friendly atmosphere and come back for more !

	Surrey Brass, the innovative and entertaining brass ensemble, was formed in 2011 and since then performed a wide range of concerts including music commissioned to accompany silent films, music commissioned to celebrate concorde, film music, an all-Russian programme, an all-Gothic programme, and more. Our “Brass Massive” education programme in association with local schools attracts young players to experience musical performance.
